Crafted with precision, the hand-forged hook is formed with twisted steel, creating the illusion of flowing water. It is wrapped with a thick coil of copper and embellished with a wavy tail of naturally rusted copper, lightly brushed for a vibrant effect. The hackle tied onto the body is made up with a hand textured blend of bronze and steel that was flame-painted deep hues of purple, red, gold, and green. Each wing, meticulously hand carved from walnut, is permanently affixed to the hook.
This limited fly pattern is mounted on our rendition of the “Last Best Place,” revealing the accurate locations of Montana’s rivers and tributaries that are intricately hand-cut into the steel base.
